The Ingham County Genealogical Society (ICGS) is a group of members interested in exploring their family history. The Society has collected numerous volumes of historical data which is available for research at the Genealogy Research Room at the Ingham County Library, Mason, Michigan. The library is open to visitors and members researching their family history.

 

The research room at the library is opened every Tuesday from 12:00-4:00PM. The Society librarian is available on those days to assist visitors to the library become familiar with available material.

 

OBJECTIVES

1. To preserve and make available for genealogical research the records of our members.

2. To encourage and assist the study of family history, to promote the exchange of knowledge and to encourage the deposit of genealogical records.

3. To cooperate with other genealogical groups and societies and to assist the area libraries in expanding and publicizing their genealogical holdings.

4. To publish materials of interest and use to genealogists.
