INGHAM COUNTY GENEALOGICAL SOCIETY

With John Castle as coach the ICGS has converted records for all 16 townships in Ingham County onto microfilm. With the updates in archival media options the society is converting this microfilm to digital format.

Stockbridge Township records were cataloged and microfilmed with copies provided to the State of Michigan Library, the Latter Day Saints (LDS) research facility and the Allen County Library, FT. Wayne, IN.

Julie Carr extracted names and dates for deaths and burials from the 1876—1915 Ingham County Democrat newspaper. The information was put in a database and is available on our website.

As funds and volunteers are available remaining microfilm records will be digitized and made available on our website.

The ICGS has converted microfilm of all previously archived newspapers to digital format.  The completed information is available on our website in DVD format.

This project converted existing microfilm of Ingham County News publications to digital format.  The converted film is available on our website in DVD format.
