The index is in alphabetical order. Click on the letter of the surname, you are researching and you will be linked to that page. As you read (right) across the page, opposite the name of the deceased, the index shows the date of the newspaper (not a date of death), page & column of the newspaper, that the name will appear in. The name may appear more then once in the same column and it may appear more then once in the same newspaper.
